PEGGY A. ANDERSON
Peggy A. Anderson, age 84, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at Foxwood Springs Living Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri.
Peggy was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 18, 1941. She loved redheads and tall men so she found both in her husband, Ray Anderson. They started a family together, having a daughter, a son and a last additional son about seven years later. Peggy and Ray were married 59 years before Ray died October 25, 2020. In June 2021, Peggy moved to Raymore, Missouri to live near her daughter and grandkids. Though she only lived here four years, she made many friends. Peggy can be described with these words and phrases: Southerner, never knew a stranger, caregiver (not only to her family but to friends and others), not afraid to speak what she thought, a sense of humor that included laughing at herself, and most importantly, a child of God. She hated having her body decline and often thought she could do things as she did in earlier years, but her body would not cooperate. When she talked about going to be with the Lord, she noted that at least she'd be able to do cartwheels again. Surely, that is what she is doing even now. Her true peace has finally begun.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Grace Martin; husband, Morris Ray Anderson; son, Gary Anderson; and a brother, Daniel Spann.
She is survived by her two children, Greg Anderson (Valerie) and Kelly Schneeberger (David); five grandchildren, Charis (Eduardo), Jonny (Anna), Patrick, Sam, and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belton Senior Center 609 Minnie Ave, Belton, MO 64012.
