Paul, our dear brother, son, uncle, and friend joined his wife, Mary Catherine Downey and mother, Anne S. Downey on February 25th, 2013. He was born to Paul and Anne Downey on December 24, 1958 in Stuttgart Germany. He was married to Mary Catherine Neary on October 17th, 1992 until her death on June 13th, 1994. Beloved brother of Missy Ragsdale, Peter Downey, Meg Erich; brother-in-law of Michael Ragsdale, Doug Erich. Dear uncle to Meghan, Michael, Heather, Braden, Shelby, Madeline, Bradley, Elizabeth, Anna. Faithful friend to many. Paul was Manager, Communications and Training – Employee Service Center for Transamerica of Cedar Rapids, IA. A memorial celebration of Paul's life will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Saturday, March 2nd at 10A. For those that wish, we suggest memorial contributions to Mercy Foundation, Hospice of Mercy Fund, 701 Tenth Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 or Kansas City Hospice House 12000 Wornall Rd. Kansas City, MO 64145.
