PATRICK JAY MCDOWELL

Patrick Jay McDowell, 56, Belton, MO passed away December 14, 2016 after suffering a stroke. Pat was born November 3, 1960, in Kansas City, MO. He was a lifelong member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #2, following the lead of his father, Robert McDowell, who preceded him in death. Pat was dedicated to his trade, taking great pride in all of the work that he did. He worked hard and played harder, enjoying many years and many friends at Lake of the Ozarks.

Pat was a very caring man, who loved his family very much. He was a loving son, the ornery little brother, the fun uncle, and a good friend to all. Pat is survived by his mother, Donna McDowell, of the home; three sisters: Karen Messerli, of Lee's Summit, MO, Deborah Broockerd (Larry), of Waldorf, MD, and Robin James (Charles), of Overland Park, KS; four nieces: Krissy Lund (Chris), of Lone Jack, MO, Courtney James, of Edwards, CO, Ashley Esau (Jordan), of Lenexa, KS, and Jessica Broockerd, of Frederick, MD; a nephew, Blake Messerli (Hannah), of Lake Lotawana, MO; three great-nieces and three great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri.
