PATRICK "PAT" C. SIMPSON

Patrick "Pat" C. Simpson, 88, of Belton, Missouri passed away January 28, 2015, at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Pat was born December 15, 1926, in Tipton, Missouri, the son of Thomas A. and Mathilda Dueber Simpson. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Ann Simpson; six children, Patrick C. Simpson, Jr., David E. Simpson (Sandy), Linda Beard (Andy), James M. Simpson (Robin), Mary Hickman (David) and Nancy Gillaspy (Gregg); 16 grandchildren, Patrick III, Kaitlin, Robert, Kali, Annie, Jessie, Ashley, Alexandria, David, Caleb, Katherine, Hannah, Ryan, Keenan, Kellen and Tanner; 10 great-grandchildren. Pat and Lois have been devoted members of St. Sabina Catholic Church since 1952. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas, James and Maurice Simpson and sisters, Alice and Margaret Simpson and Chloe Heider. Pat graduated from Tipton High School and attended college in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was an Army Veteran serving during WWII. Pat had a 35 year career with the Bendix Corporation and retired in 1989. He was a member of Toastmasters, Lion's Club, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis, Belton, MO 64012 with burial in Belton Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, January 30, 2015, at the church with rosary at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Sabina Catholic Church, Missouri Veteran's Home or Alzheimer's Association.
