PATRICIA "PATT" MARIE HILDEBRANT
Patricia "Patt" Marie (Hartley) Hildebrant, 78, passed away at home July 28, 2025. Her wish was to be cremated, and we will honor her memory with a visitation on her birthday Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at Cullen Funeral Home from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Never one for being "fancy", Patt was a huge KC Chiefs fan, so the family encourages you wear your favorite red and white or Chiefs attire to honor her love of the KC Chiefs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Missouri Department of Conservation Donations, PO Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180. Patt was born in Kansas City to John D. and Gladys "Pat" E. (Meyer) Hartley. She was the younger sister of John D. Hartley II. Her early years were spent growing up in Clinton, Mo., but the family moved to Raytown not long after she started school. After graduating from Raytown South High School in 1964, she headed to Baker University in KS. On Sept. 3, 1966, Patt became Mrs. Donald V. Hildebrant. Their family grew by two, welcoming Kerrie Lyn in 1967 and Victoria Nicole in 1970. In 1984, Patt joined Don in owning and working together at West Mark Office Machine Supply Company. She was his strength, his companion in life, his sounding block and his safe place. Together they operated the company until Don passed in 2008. Patt had a creative heart, expressing herself in drawing, painting, sewing, needlework, planning family celebrations, baking, cake decorating and gardening. She made everything colorful and holidays memorable. She enjoyed traveling, being outside, learning new facts and dabbling in new hobbies including playing the hammer dulcimer. Patt often said she was never as old in her mind and spirit as she was in age. As our mom, she taught us love, patience and forgiveness. Together, Mom and Dad's legacy is a beautiful family comforted by happy memories.
Patt is preceded in death by her parents and brother, John & Pat Hartley and John D. Hartley II; and husband, Don. Hildebrant. She leaves behind daughters Kerrie O'Connor withTom and Victoria Landaverry with Nery; grandchildren Andrew Bertz, Brandon Landaverry with Jane, Abigail (Bertz) Alexander with Blake, Brisa Landaverry, Asher Bertz, Blake Landaverry, Nick O'Connor with Britney Green and Ryan O'Connor; and great-grandchildren Rowen Landaverry, Archer Bertz, Emersyn Alexander and Ava O'Connor.
