PATRICIA JEAN BATES

Patricia Jean Bates, age 95, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Services will be held at Belton Christian Church. Service times are pending.

Patricia was born in Meadville, Missouri on March 20, 1926 to Harry and Georgia Barnett. Patricia graduated high school and was joined in marriage with her late husband, Maxwell K. Bates. Patricia devoted her life to caring for her family as their union was blessed with two children, Nancy and Marsha. In life Patricia was a woman of Christian faith and more recently was a member of the Belton Christian Church. Earlier in life she would enjoy square dancing with Maxwell. Patricia would often sew quilts and clothing for her family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Maxwell K. Bates; parents, Harry and Georgia Barnett; and eight siblings.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marsha Posch (Raymond) and Nancy Taylor (Owen); three grandchildren, Shane Taylor (Jaclyn), Elisabeth Finton (David), and Sarah Taylor-Kern (Jason); and seven great grandchildren.
