NORMA J. RUTHERFORD

Norma J. Rutherford, 82, of Grandview, MO passed away December 25, 2014. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday at funeral home. Burial will be in Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation Heartland 8900 State Line Rd. #320 Leawood, KS 66206. Norma was born November 13, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of George E. and Elizabeth Dobbins Shorthose. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Dee Rutherford; two sons, James and George Rutherford; two grandsons, Clint and Robert Shoemaker; one great grandson, Joshua Miller; sister, Wanita (Betty) Cartmill and two brothers, George (Sonny) and Freddie Shorthose. She is survived by her two sons, Everett (Sonny) Jr. and Michael Rutherford; eight daughters, Deanna Morris, Linda Shoemaker, Reba Mitzel, Kathy Robinette, Nita Hanna, Ginger Wilson (Bob), Lisa Bonner and Gladys Brown (Scott); three brothers, Billie, Pat and Herbie Shorthose; three sisters, Shirley Mitchell, Verna Roberts and Mary Kaiser; 22 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Norma was an avid bowler with the Wednesday Moonlighters, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a second Mom and Grandma to many and will be greatly missed.
