NAOMI LEE COCKRELL

Naomi Lee Cockrell, born February 1, 1930 in Halfway, Missouri, to Walter Willard Eastburn and Lessie May Eastburn. She passed away on May 6, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services 3 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, MO with visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Memorials to Kansas City Hospice. She wanted to be Christ-like in all her ways and would want to be remembered for that. She went to Pleasant Hope High School. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Milton Cockrell, two daughters, Marva Gay Green-Copenhaver of Liberty, MO and Melody Lynn Cockrell of Kansas City, MO. She is survived by her grandchildren Joshua Allen, Kenneth Earl, and Cody Wayne Green, Five great grandchildren, her sister, Ruth Gott of Springfield, MO, and a sister-in-law, Rosalee Eastburn of Pleasant Hope, MO, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many of their church family. Naomi will be dearly missed but always remembered for her selflessness, kindheartedness and her gentle spirit.
