Nancy Lou Jacobs Rowe (July 9, 1945 - May 26, 2025), 79 years  old passed peacefully in the home.

Nancy had the educational hours of her PhD in elementary education. She taught elementary art at Cambridge Elementary in Belton, MO, for 35 years and retired in 2007.

Nancy was the proud mother of four children Dancy Rowe Miller (Jason Miller), Ethan Rowe (Ashley Rowe), Joshua Rowe (Corrie Steele), and Sarah Rowe.

Her grandchildren brought her great joy! Kelsey Miller Pettet (Tanner Pettet), Nolan Miller (Madison Jolly), Zachary Miller (Kara Seeley), Lucas Rowe, Annabelle Rowe, Tyler J. Rowe, Laney Rowe, Evan Steele, Haley Steele (Kennedy Howard) and Tyler A. Rowe (Jenny Smith).

She was a proud great grandmother to Nolan and Madison's beautiful daughter Miley. Sadly she was proceeded in death by Baby Boy Pettet son of Kelsey and Tanner.

Nancy was a nationally recognized gourd folk artist. She was known to many as "The Gourd Lady". She created gourd art for 50+ years and was known for her hand crafted gourd Santas. Her blue eyed Santas hung proudly on the White House Christmas tree twice in the Reagan era. She was also a featured artist in the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City for nine years.

Nancy was known for her loving nature. She always welcomed a hug. Her quick wit would always bring a smile, she was a tad stubborn too!

The world lost a beautiful soul when heaven gained this beautiful angel. She will be missed dearly.

The services will be at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, MO on June 10, 2025 at 10am-12:00pm with graveside services immediately following at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute of Kansas City.
