NANCY J. DELAPP

Nancy J. DeLapp, age 90, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away February 13, 2022 at the Addington Place.

Private family services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Nancy was born November 3, 1931, in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of Thomas J. Green and Iris Thurman and was raised in Republic, Missouri. After graduating high school, she met Charles J. DeLapp, Jr. and they were married January 6, 1955. Together they relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where they were blessed with three children, Thomas, Charles, and Carrie. While Nancy raised her children, she also pursued her passion for visual art in multiple mediums. She belonged to the Tri-County Art League and participated for decades in juried shows at Westport and Springfield, Missouri and Prairie Village and Overland Park, Kansas. In 1991 she opened her own studio, Wildflowers Arts Works in Belton, Missouri. Her works grace many private homes and businesses in the KC Metro area. Her love for rescued animals was evident in her own home and in her support of the HELP Humane NO-Kill Shelter in Belton, Missouri. She was member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Raymore, Missouri.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Iris Green and her loving husband Charles J. DeLapp, Jr. She is survived by her children: Thomas J. DeLapp and wife Patricia, Charles R. DeLapp, and Carrie DeLapp Culver-Lee and husband Rich; three grandchildren: Thomas A. DeLapp (Amanda), Amanda M. Tenbrook (Sabastian), and Madison L. Culver-Lee; and eight great-grandchildren.
