NADINE M. MCWILLIAMS

Nadine M. McWilliams, 90, of Raymore, Missouri passed away November 21, 2012 at Foxwood Springs Living Center. She was born September 9, 1922 in Sheldon, Missouri, the daughter of Melvin and Olive Daugherty McCaslin, the oldest of eight children. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2012 at Bromwell Lounge at Foxwood Springs Living Center. Burial will be10:30 AM Monday, November 26th in Sheldon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, Fellowship of John or Belton Christian Church. Nadine married Delbert L. McWilliams on May 27, 1940. She was employed at the Bendix Corporation from 1951 to 1983. After retirement she and Delbert enjoyed living at the Lake of the Ozarks and Happy Trails Resort in Surprise Arizona. Her favorite hobby, at the lake, was Crappie Fishing, and she also loved moonlight boat rides. She even learned how to water ski without knowing how to swim. After moving to Foxwood Springs in 2001, she was a tireless volunteer at the Corner Store, Gift Shop, Thrift Shop, Bargain Barn and Transportation. She enjoyed playing and calling Bingo, playing Mahjong, winning Shuffle Board Tournaments with friends, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. She was a member of the Belton Christian Church and volunteered there also. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert; daughter, Betty J. Kelley; son, Bobby D. McWilliams; sister, Freda and brothers, Bud, Herman and Truman. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Wheeler (Joe); brother, Neil McCaslin (Dorothy); sisters, Wanda Hutson (Russell), Denzil Divine (Ronnie); grandchildren, James Dean, Tracy, Christa, Jennifer and Jeanette; great grandchildren, Gary, Zach, Rachael, Alexys, Taylor, Hunter, Hailey, Kalen and great great grandchildren, Zach and Brooke. Nadine was a kind, loving person to everyone she met, and always had a big smile and a warm hug. Her grandchildren always brought out that special smile! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, as well as her Foxwood Springs family, caregivers and her roommate Harriet.
