MURREL D. HUNTER
Murrel D. Hunter, 82, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away August 2, 2012. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, August 6, 2012 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 10-11 AM. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Heart of America Chapter 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208. Murrel was born October 1, 1929 in Calgary Alberta, Canada, the son of Victor C. and Ollie V. Webster Hunter. Murrel was a member of the Belton Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. Murrel was a Master Sargent in the US Army and served during the Korean War and worked as a Union Ironworker for Local #10 for many years. Murrel was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patty L. Hunter; sister, Percilla Hunter; four brothers, Orville, Freeman, Evert and Garald Hunter. He is survived by his son, Dave Hunter and wife Christy of Harrisonville, MO; daughter, Mary Carnal and husband John of Pleasant Hill, MO; sister, Stella Dale and husband Lewis of LaCygne, KS; five grandchildren, Lynn Trojahn, Kendra Hunter, Ryan Huff, Patrick Huff and step grandson, Jonathan Carnal.
