MONA CATHERINE WITTHAR

Mona Catherine Witthar, age 85, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her residence in Peculiar, MO.

Mona was born in McKeesport, PA on February 21, 1938, to the late Franklin B. Caudle and Helen J. Becker.  She lived most of her life in Independence, MO, later moving to Blue Springs, MO, and then to her son's home in Peculiar, MO.

She was married for 57 years to the late Kenneth A. Witthar.  For over 30 years, Mona and Ken owned Ken & Will's TV on Blue Ridge Blvd.  In her free time, Mona loved to go to movies and the theater.  In her younger years she enjoyed going to the lake, camping, and traveling with her family.

She was a long-time member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Independence, where enjoyed volunteering and participating in various church activities.

Survivors include her children, Theresa (Jeff) Sherard of Boulder, CO, and Kevin (Charlotte) Witthar of Peculiar, MO; grandchildren Chloe and Megan Sherard of Steamboat Springs, CO; and brother Al (Charlotte) Caudle of Watkinsville, GA.

The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.  Those who wish, may make a donation in Mona's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the giver's choice.
