On September 15, 1945, Mildred was united in marriage with Burle G. Looney. Together, Mildred and Burle were blessed with four children, Tarry, Victor "Gene", Lynn, and Malinda. Together they raised their children at the "Looney Farm" in Freeman, MO.
Later Mildred became Nana to her loving family who has grown to include 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Nana loved spending time with her family more than anything else. She especially loved hosting her family Christmas, always with a pot of her homemade noodles. Nana enjoyed sewing and quilting, working her crossword puzzles, tending to her roses, and riding her exercise bike while watching Judge Judy. She did not appreciate squirrels visiting her birdfeeders.
