MICHAEL E. WARD

Michael E. Ward, age 66, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away April 20, 2017 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017 with visitation from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Missouri. Burial will take place in Peculiar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested "Memory Trees" to plant in Michael's memory.

Michael was born September 17, 1950 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was the son of Raliegh and Betty Jean (Greison) Ward. On May 7, 1983, Michael married the love of his life, Patty Blades. Together Michael and Patty shared in the love of four children, Tanya, Matthew, Cristofer, and Jesse. Michael lovingly supported his family as a carpenter for 37 years.

Michael was a member of the Spring Valley Baptist Church. In his spare time Michael was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raliegh and Betty Jean Ward; his brother, Larry Ward; niece, Renae Tebbs; and a great niece, Krissie. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Ward; his children, Tanya McClure, Matthew Ward (Nancy), Cristofer Ward (Jenny), and Jesse Ward (Brittany); 6 grandchildren, Rachel Abdullahi, Morgan McClure, Grayson McClure, Mary Ann Smasal (Zac), Chelsae Ward, and Kinsley Ward; 5 great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Raiden, Laila, Brantley, and Dazie; his siblings, Connie Tebbs, Alan Ward (Stephanie), Catherine Milite, and Doug Gallegos; sister-in-law, Cindy Ward; and Michael's loyal companion, his dog, Winston.
