MICHAEL RICHARD TERRY

Michael "Mike" Richard Terry, age 66, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Mike was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 11, 1959 to Thomas Vincent Terry Sr. and Marion Dorothy (Henderson) Terry. Marion later relocated her family to Raytown, MO where Mike attended and graduated from Raytown South High School.  After High School, Mike moved to Lee's Summit where he began his career as a painter at John Knox Village and started a family. Mike was most proud of his two daughters, Amber and Michelle, who both married and later blessed him with 5 grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Bailey, Austin and Mikayla.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, spending time at ballgames with his children and grandchildren, time at the lake boating and fishing, gardening, traveling, and Chiefs football.  He also had a love for music and could whistle a tune to just about anything. Mike was a loyal, kind, hard working man, and a loving father. Those who knew him best would say Mike was known for his jokes, sound effects, and impersonations.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marion Terry; and youngest brother, John Terry.

He is survived by his daughters, Amber Williams (Mark), Michelle Reed (Adam); five grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Bailey, Austin, and Mikayla; as well as five siblings, Tom Terry (Margie), Dan Terry (Sue), Anita Lange (Mike), Ron Terry (Lori), and Bob Terry (Joan) and his K9 companion Swizzle.
