MICHAEL BRUCE KORPAN

Michael Bruce Korpan, age 70, of Belton, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

An inurnment will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee on a later date.

Mike was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on January 1, 1952 to Steven Korpan and Elisabeth Ann (Ross) Korpan. After graduating high school, Mike went on to achieve his Bachelor degree. He was a proud Mercer alum. He worked most of his life in the insurance industry, working for Shelter Insurance for many years before retiring.

In life, Mike was a member of Toastmasters International. Mike was very gregarious, loved spending time traveling with his late wife, Mary, loved playing chess, and loved the animals he had over the years. Mike was looking forward to meeting his animals again at rainbow bridge. He was a kind-hearted soul. He loved to teach his niblings.

Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Mary Louise Korpan; parents, Steven and Elisabeth Korpan; two brothers, Steven Anthony "Stoney" Korpan and Donald Francis Korpan; and two sisters, Marjorie Ann Korpan and Donna Lisabeth Korpan Latta.

He is survived by his brother in law, Steven Latta; three nieces, Shawn Latta, Stephanie "Nicki" Jenkins, and Barbara "Beth" Robinson; nephew, Matthew Latta; cousin, Mary Watkins and her son, Daniel Nevad; and many other extended family members.
