MERLE K. JENSEN
Merle K. Jensen, 94 of Raymore, MO passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Rehabilitation Center of Raymore. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, March 1, 2013 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore Missouri with burial in Raymore Cemetery. Merle was born July 25, 1918 and raised in rural Freeman, SD, the son of Fred M and Florence (Dickman) Jensen. He graduated from Menno S.Dak.High School in 1938. He was a plumber in the St. Louis/Warrenton, MO area, served as a SeaBee in the Navy (Pacific Theatre) during World War II, given a Purple Heart, and was a member of the Open Door Bible Church of Belton, MO. He is survived by his wife, Donna, of 68 years this weekend; his son, Randy and wife Nancy of Harrisonville, MO; brother, Richard Eldon Jensen and wife, Susan, Denver, CO; sister, Shirley (Jensen) Martens and husband, Willard, Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and fifteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Esther Olsberg Jensen, two brothers, a sister (in childhood) and a nephew.
