MELVIN G. NEWTON
Melvin G. Newton, 68, of Raymore, Missouri passed away at home on December 17, 2010. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Central Free Will Baptist Church 3200 Blue Ridge Extension Grandview, MO with visitation Noon to 2 PM. Dinner for family and friends preceding visitation will begin at 11am (church). Burial Chapel Hill Cemetery Kansas City, KS. Melvin was a Marine Veteran and Commander of VFW Post 1829. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Arsula Hatfield, William Gabel and Clarence Williams; brothers, William, Jr. and Corky; father in-law, Ray W. Stanley. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Timothy, Thomas (wife: Toni) and Donald Cade; mother-in-law, Geneva Stanley; mother, Roberta Williams; brothers, Larry and Bryan Gabel; sisters, Barbara Fink, Pam Hensley, and Georgian Jurivetz; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many other extended families. Contributions in memory of Melvin G. Newton should go to the Church or Good Shepherd Hospice.
