MELISSA RIMER-SUDDUTH

Melissa M. Rimer-Sudduth, age 42, of Belton, Missouri, passed away October 15, 2017, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, at Cullen Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Belton Cemetery. Contributions may be given to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 6811 Shawnee Mission Pkwy #202, Mission, KS 66202.

Melissa was born January 28, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Dale and Eula "Faye" Rimer.

On November 14, 1998, Melissa was united in marriage with Andrew Sudduth. Together, Melissa and Andrew were blessed with five children, Brittany, Zachary, Victoria, Gabriella, and Abbigale.

For over 20 years, Melissa worked as a registered nurse. She had the heart of a healer and loved caring for the children of Children's Mercy Hospital.

Melissa loved the Lord, Jesus, and was an active member of the Word of Life Community Church in Peculiar, Missouri. She was also a member of the KC Youth for Christ in her youth, and would help to put on worship concerts for the youth. Melissa was a devoted child of God, mother and family.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Dale Rimer. She is survived by her mother, Faye Rimer; her faithful and loving husband of 19 years, Andrew D. Sudduth; her children, Brittany Renee, Zachary Paul, Victoria Elizabeth, Gabriella Faith, and Abbigale Noelle Sudduth; and one niece, Tenley.
