MAXINE LAVERNE MURRAY

Maxine LaVerne Murray, age 100, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 20201 at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri.

Maxine was born in Wellsville, Kansas on August 22, 1921 to Edger W. Wilkerson and Amanda M. (Ramsay). Growing up she was one of three daughters. Maxine graduated high school and worked for many years as a secretary for Shook Hardy and Bacon Law Firm. She was married to her late husband, William Harrison Murray in Olathe, Kansas. In life, Maxine was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. She also enjoyed music and loved to sing.

Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband William Harrison Murray; parents, Edger W. Wilkerson and Amanda M. Wilkerson; and two sisters, Audrey V. Hendrix and Alice M. Courtney.

She is survived by her niece Evonne Courtney and Colorado family.
