MAX ELDON GRAMLING
Max Eldon Gramling, age 87, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at his home, surrounded by the love of his family on October 8, 2017.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri.
Max was born August 22, 1930 in Milan, Missouri. He was the son of William Oral Gramling and Hortense Merle (Clemm) Gramling. Max proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War. On September 13, 1953, Max was united in marriage with Patricia Loretta Altiser and together they were blessed with one daughter, Kim.
For over 50 years, Max owned and operated "Max's Quick Start & Tow" and several service stations in Kansas City.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Hortense Gramling; his wife of 52 years, Patricia Gramling; sister, Pauline Barbee; and two brothers, Dayton and Jackie Dale Gramling.
Max is survived by his daughter, Marcia "Kim" Hamilton; brother, Jerry Gramling (Edith); two grandchildren, Chris Butt (Lisa), Kelly Gillespie (George); three great-grandchildren, Ryan Moody (Tahnee), and Jessica and Joseph Gillespie; and two great-great grandsons, Bryson and Ryker.
