MARY CATHERINE YOUNG

Mary Catherine (Crow) Young, 88, of Raymore, MO passed away April 26, 2016. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, April 29, 2016 at Crossroads United Methodist Church with visitation 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Belton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Luke Young, Corey Young, Derrick Young, Nathan Young, Matt Muller, Bill Keeney and Tom Keeney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church Building Fund 515 Markey Pkwy, Belton, MO 64012.

Mary Catherine was born at Trinity Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on June 29th, 1927, the daughter of Walter William and Nannie Clea (Brocker) Crow.

Mary Catherine married Ray William Young on June 11th, 1948 at the Clea Crow home in Belton, Missouri.

Kate was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Sue Keeney and brother, Kenneth Crow.

She is survived by her husband, Ray W. Young of 68 years; children, Larry R. Young and wife Susie, Gary L. Young and wife Rebecca, Dennis W. Young and wife Angela; eight grandchildren, Luke, Corey, Sally, Derrick, Liana, Nathan, Tyler and Amber; 12 great-grandchildren, Jasper, Jetson, Chloe, Maxwell, Harper, Phoenix, Norah, Jude, Lane, Marley, Hadleigh and Austin.

Kate was a member of the Belton United Methodist Church since birth. She worked at the Bank of Belton for 14 years and retired in 1978 holding the position of Vice President.
