MARY LOUISE KORPAN
Mary Louise Korpan, age 70, of Belton, Missouri passed away on August 2, 2017 at Belton Regional Medical Center. Private Inurnment services will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.
Mary was born January 15, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Wyatt A. Allen and Mary E. (Coleman) Allen.
Mary had a very accomplished life in the music world as a pianist and organ accompanist in Nashville and surrounding areas. She started as a young girl playing for her church. In her high school years, she played for the chorus and choir; and as word spread, Mary played piano at many grand events for the state of Tennessee. Mary was the pianist on a number of recordings on Music Row. Her greatest honor was playing for the weddings of her classmates.
On May 15, 1980, Mary was united in marriage with Michael B. Korpan.
Mary worked as a bank proof operator for eight years. She served as secretary on the board for Citizens Against Spouse Abuse in Sedalia, Missouri. For many years, Mary was a fanatic of the "All My Children" series. She also enjoyed computer gaming, and Facebook.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt and Mary Allen. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael B. Korpan; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
