MARY ESTHER GARDINER

Mary Esther Gardiner, 92, of Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.

Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. A family luncheon will follow.

Mary was born in Winner, South Dakota and was raised on a farm in Harlan, Iowa. She met the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” Gardiner while working at United Telecom as a telephone operator. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 9, 1955.

Mary enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and golf, but her greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Charles Gardiner, her sister Evelyn Hendricksen, and her brother Darryl Larsen. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert (Kyli) Gardiner, David Gardiner, her beloved grandchildren Brian (Kelsey) Gardiner, Kelsey (Josh) Webb, Madison Gardiner and her cherished great-grandchildren, Charleigh Webb, Emma Webb, Eleanor Webb, Lee Webb, Riley Gardiner, and Maxine Gardiner. She is also survived by her sisters Julene (Harold) Johnson, Marlene Sondergaard, and her brother Dale (Elizabeth) Larsen, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the legacy of love she leaves behind in the hearts and lives of her family.
