MARY HELEN CHAFFIN

Mary Helen Chaffin, age 82, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 9, 2021 surrounded by her comforting family.

A celebration of Mary Helen's life will be held with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Mary Helen was born in Clinton, Missouri on January 30, 1939 to John Lester Erwin and Grace E. Vanderburg. She was joined in marriage with her late husband, Jon P. Chaffin on August 4, 1961. In life, Mary Helen was a woman of Christian faith, attending faithfully the Belton Christian Church. She loved to gamble, go bowling, be outdoors, and spend time with her grandchildren.

Mary Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of over forty-seven years, Jon P. Chaffin; and her parents, John and Grace Erwin.

She leaves behind her son, Bill Groh (Candice); daughter, Vickie Keeney; sister, Sharon Long; six grandchildren, Garrett Keeney, Darrell Keeney (Caitlin), Tyler Groh (Kelli), Larrissa Heckart (Randy), Shelby Leicher (Kawika), and Kody Johnson (Abbi); and five great grandchildren, River, Rowyn, Ayla, Kahili, and Arlo.
