IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Ann
C. Fellner
March 16, 1932 – August 25, 2020
MARY ANN (DUKE) C. FELLNER
Mary Ann C. Fellner, age 88, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at home.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Immediately following the visitation will be a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary Ann was born in Belleville, Illinois on March 16, 1932 to Henry Voetmann and Alice (Buchheim) Voetmann. Mary Ann grew up with one sister, Joan. After graduating high school, Mary Ann completed nursing school and began her lifelong career of caring for others as a registered nurse, working in emergency medicine and youth psychiatric wards. Her passion and dedication for nursing was passed down and shared with the next generation in her family. Mary Ann was joined in marriage with her late husband Vince on August 22nd, 1953. Together they were blessed with four children, Terry, Debbie, John, and Lisa.
A woman of Catholic faith, Mary Ann was a dedicated member of Coronation of Our Lady Parish for many years. She loved being around family and friends. She was an incredible cook, something that will always be remembered by our waistlines. Those who knew her can recount her inability to sit until everyone was fed and happy. She and her late husband Vince enjoyed bird watching and caring for their expansive garden. Mary Ann was always helping others however she could, offering guidance, humor and support in her family's lives. A faithful fan of the Kansas City Royals for many years, she was thrilled by their World Series championship in 2015. She loved to travel, taking her first international trip at the age of 82. Every friend and family member could always count on a birthday card, a phone call if she heard they were sick, and loving words year after year.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of over fifty-eight years, Vincent Fellner; parents, Henry and Alice Voetmann; and sister, Joan Lauff.
She is survived by her three daughters, Terry Gilliam (Randy), Debbie Hargett (John), and Lisa Dannahower; son, John Fellner (Vicki); sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, along with countless others who were able to call on Mary Ann in a time of need.
