MARY LOU ARNOTE
Born November 5, 1942, in Howell County, Missouri. Passed. Mary grew up on a farm in the Ozarks. Lessons learned from the necessities of early farm life shaped her professional career. She graduated high school in West Plains, Missouri 1960. Just after graduation she moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Her first job was with Hallmark. Following that position she moved to the Internal Revenue Service. A surprise employment opportunity led to a career. She was unaware initially that her hard work was going to offer her a change from employee to business owner. All the sewing as a teenager opened a pathway into textiles and manufacturing. She was employed by three drapery companies, before starting her own drapery business. Mary’s business success enabled her to grow and become a business owner. The business opened networking opportunities which helped her business bloom. Over years the business continued to grow, she always shared her success with family and friends.
Mary is survived by: Nolan Arnote, husband; Sean Arnote, son; James Clyde Brower, brother; Betty Rhodes, sister; Judy Hanshaw, sister; Myrna Clark, sister.
Preceded in death by: Cecil Brower, father; Dorothy Burgess, mother; Loyd Burgess, stepfather.
Mary loved and had considerable pride in customizing her home. She also enjoyed cooking, vegetable and flower gardening, flowers of all kinds, gospel music, Chiefs football, family, and friends.
Please remember Mary for Willingness to Love, Assist, and Share her talents, effort, and time.
