Marvin was born September 27, 1933 in Stevens, Arkansas. The son of Ples and Evelyn (Primm) McWilliams. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents. Marvin is survived by his loving wife Shirley A. (Ward) McWilliams of 61 years; 3 sons, Jerry McWilliams and wife Dawn, Bruce McWilliams and wife Debi and Bert McWilliams; sister, Mary Sue Hyman and husband Kenneth; 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Corey, Kristin, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Andrew and Daniel; 3 great grandchildren, Elise, Layne and Jake
Marvin served his country in the United Stated Army. He retired from Amoco and was a member of the Pipefitters union. The final years of his career he enjoyed being a welder and became the manager of the welding shop. His life was guided by his faith as member and deacon minister of East Main Baptist Church in El Dorado Arkansas, Noland Road Baptist Church in Independence, Mo and First Baptist Church in Texas City TX.
Marvin loved God and his family. He spent his spare time working at the church and fixing anything and everything. I'm sure he's already asked God for something to do.
He has served God, his family, friends and his journey here has ended. God has prepared a grand room for him in heaven and called him home. We will all miss him but know that he will be waiting to welcome us with open arms.
