MARVIN "Cook" L. HIGGINS

Marvin L. Higgins, aka: "Cook", age 78, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

At this time no services are being held. A Celebration of Life event will be held in the future.

Marvin was born in Trenton, Missouri on May 10, 1942 to W.L. Higgins and Pauline (Davis) Higgins. After graduating high school, Marvin entered the work force and for most of his working career, worked as a machine setter for AT&T, he also co-operated Modena Airless Spray Painting for several years. He was blessed with two children, Tammy and Tim, then later in life with two step-daughters Dixie and Delisa. In life Marvin loved working with his hands; he was an awesome cook, an avid gardener, loved woodworking and refinishing furniture, crafted leatherworking and enjoyed hunting. Marvin also loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL. In more recent years he would record cartoons to watch together with his great grandchildren when they visited.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; W.L. Higgins, Pauline and Kenneth Houston (Step-father); son in law, Kurt Halupnick; and so many close friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gearldine "Jerri" Higgins; son, Tim Higgins; daughter, Tammy Halupnick; his children's mother, Kay Best; stepmother, Ida Mae Higgins; two stepbrothers Paul and Willie Ferrell; stepdaughters, Delisa (Lockhart) Glasco and Dixie (Lockhart) Busby; two grandsons, Jake Clark and Cole Halupnick; granddaughter, Michelle Jordan (Michael); two great grandchildren, Colton and Marla Jordan; and neighbors who were such good friends, Lee and Vonnie Erwin.
