MARVIN E. DOAK

Marvin E. Doak, age 76, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Belton Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Peculiar 216 E Broadway St, Peculiar, MO 64078.

Marvin was born on February 22, 1942 in Seneca, Kansas. He was the son of Robert Sidney Doak and Helen Louise Gray, and one of three brothers, James and Richard.

Marvin served his country in the United States Navy. While in the military, Marvin was part of a Damage and Fire Control team. For many years, he worked as a cabinet maker for his family business, Doak Cabinets. Marvin was an avid bowler, in fact it was bowling that brought Marvin and Sherri together. On July 27, 1994 Marvin was joined in marriage with Sherri.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Helen Doak.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Sherri Doak; daughter, Valerie Bedell (husband, Jason); step-daughters, Amy Weber (husband, Mike), Sundee Coin (husband, Tom), and Corrie Whitfield; two brothers, James Doak (wife, Ruth) and Richard Doak (wife, Donnell); eleven grandchildren, Jordan Weber, Kenny Bias, Lucas Eiken, Michael Bias, Bailey Coin, Seth Coin, Saige Coin, Rylee Weber, Lane Bedell, Jada Weber Coin, and Zane Whitfield; and one great grandson, Furious Weber.
