MARLENE MAY REED

Marlene May (Morgan) Reed the daughter of Murvel (Jack) and Elsie Morgan was born November 29, 1937, in Hamburg, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at St Joseph Medical Center Rehab at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 11 days.

She spent her time as a youth in the Watson, Missouri area. On February 25, 1956, Marlene was united in marriage to Lowell Reed. To this union they were blessed with two daughters; JoEllen and Janelle (who she affectionately referred to as "the darlings”).

She loved her family dearly, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed bridge, bingo, bunco, dancing, decorating for Christmas and an occasional trip to the casino (where she was usually lucky).

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jack and Elsie Morgan; her beloved twin sister Marcene K. Johnson; in-laws, Morris and Fern Reed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 70 years Lowell Reed; daughters, JoEllen Hainey (Rex), Janelle Reed Williams (Ron); three grandchildren, Jill Entwistle (Denny), Jana Hainey and Reed Williams; and two great grandchildren, Sadie Entwistle and Palmer Entwistle; other relatives and friends.

In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and remembered privately by family.
