MARK A. MORRIS

Mark A. Morris, 61, of Raymore, MO passed away October 15, 2015. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, October 23, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Raymore 116 S Washington St, Raymore, MO 64083 with visitation 6-8 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the church. Burial will be in Raymore Cemetery. Mark was born August 14, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Max W. and Ava J. (Stipp) Morris. Mark was preceded in death by his father Max W. Morris. He is survived by his wife Carol J. (Gillette) Morris of 36 years; son, Brent A. Morris; daughter, Lauren M. Morris (Brett Hammons); mother, Ava J. Morris; brother, Mike Morris (Linda); sister, Robin Harris (David); one grandson, Ethan Hammons; and many nieces and nephews. Mark was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raymore. Mark was an avid sports enthusiast, constantly watching sports on the TV, whether it was football, basketball or baseball and he loved his Kansas City Royals baseball team. He was so proud that they were doing so well. He was also an avid sportsman, and loved to hunt for turkey and deer, as well as going fishing for Crappie. He lived his life as a ministry and strove to help those that he could as they struggled. He helped countless individuals to help themselves and in return received many blessings as he watched them grow and become better people. He was a good friend to everybody and was well loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, loving father to his son and daughter, and the happiest grandfather you could ever imagine with his grandson Ethan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
