MARK ALAN JONES

Mark Alan Jones, age 63, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away on February 14, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. with time for sharing memories from 6-7 p.m. Inurnment will take place later in Barnes City Cemetery in Barnes City, Iowa.

Mark was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on June 22, 1961, the son of Louis Jones and Janice Walsh. Shortly after completing high school, Mark worked with the Belton Police Department as a dispatcher and then went to the police academy. He also attended Longview Community College for Criminal Justice police training. Mark worked at the Raymore Police Department from October of 1985 and retired in February of 2006.

Mark was a member of the Ham Radio Club in Kansas City. He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, reading and watching Westerns.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Janice Jones.

He is survived by his three sisters, Jolene Burandt, Cheryl Richards (Colin), and Janet Lawson (David); step-granddaughter, Makayla Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
