Marjorie (Marge) Knowles nee Thomas, 85, of Raymore, MO passed away April 3, 2010. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 8, 2010 at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village Kansas. A private service will be on Friday April 30, 2010 at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, MO.

Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Margaret and Bruce Boomer , Prairie Village KS, Catherine and Wm. Mode , Neenah WI, Mary and Robert. Knowles/Hinz , Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Andrea and Sam Mode, Ross and Karen Boomer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wm. Knowles.

Mrs. Knowles was born 2/11/1925 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Spencer L. Thomas and Margaret A. Thomas nee Dybdahl. She attended schools in Minneapolis and graduated from Macalester College, St. Paul in 1947.

She was a social worker in Hennepin County, MN and Jefferson City, MO and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved her family and was always interested in the lives of her grandchildren. Her favorite subjects for study and discussion were religion and politics.
