MARIANNE COLLINS SEE
Marianne Collins See, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2016
at Foxwood Springs, Raymore MO. Marianne was born in Sioux City, Iowa April 16, 1931 to John Cecil and Mary Johanna Daugherty Collins. The family moved to Kansas City in 1936 when her father accepted a position with the newly formed Hanford Airlines, later renamed Mid-Continent Airlines. She was the oldest of three daughters.
Marianne attended Hale Cook Grade School, Southwest High School and the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo. She married Robert Webster See on October 28, 1950. Bob and Marianne completed their college educations and have four surviving sons; John W. See (wife Jeanne) of Anchorage, AK, James R. See (wife Shellie) of Raymore, MO, Thomas E. See (partner Bill Bowdle) of San Francisco, CA and Timothy R. See of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her sister; Helen Joan Stillwell. Grandchildren; Erin Picado, Michael See, Jennifer See-Zapata, Rachel See, Kevin See. Great grandchild; Kayleigh Picado, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.
Marianne was an active member of Country Club Christian Church, and also completed twenty years of service to the church culminating as Director of Administration and Women's Ministry Leader. She later served as Chaplain at Brookdale's Foxwood Springs Retirement Community. Marianne was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Missouri, a member of Chapter IR - PEO Sisterhood, The Salvation Army Auxiliary and Rotary Club 13 Auxiliary.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 Friday, November 11th in Bromwell Lounge at Foxwood Springs Living Center.
Services will be held in the sanctuary at Country Club Christian Church on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 with visitation preceding in the Church Parlor at 10:00.
Memorials may be sent to Country Club Christian Church Building Endowment Fund, or the Fellowship of John at Brookdale Foxwood Springs, Raymore, MO.
