Marguerite (Marguex) Pearl Sigafus, age 66 of Grandview, MO passed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on July 20, 2026, at her home.

Marguex was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 31, 1960, the daughter of Donald Ray Miller and Sylvia Elizabeth (Crabtree) Miller.

Marguex attended Farmington Elementary, Middle, and High School in Farmington, Minnesota. She loved to sing and was actively involved in her church youth group. She also participated in 4-H and AFS, where she had the opportunity to host a foreign exchange student from Norway, Berit Stubberud Guttormsen, who lived with her family for a year.

Post high school Marguex attended Trinity College in Deerfield, IL. She was a strong believer in prayer, and her faith led her to cross cultural ministry trips to Germany and Israel. Marguex also attended classes at Calvary University in Belton, MO.

On October 18, 1996, Marguerite married the love of her life, Phillip J. Sigafus. Together, they shared almost 30 cherished years of marriage, building a life filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.

They lived in Minneapolis, MN and then later moved to Grandview, MO.

Her brother Craig Miller, his wife Lori (Howard) of Lawrence, KS. Their children: Brek (Johanna) Miller [children: Remington and Theoden]; Bradi (Miller) and Steven Parkin [children: Ruby, Primrose, Belle and Judah]; Bryce (Alli) Miller [children: Ian and Leland]

Her sister-in-law Kathleen (Katy Sigafus) Wortel, her husband Dave of Mankato, MN

Her brother-in-law Robert (Bob) Sigafus, his wife Cathy (Tuve) of Maple Grove, MN and Wimauma, FL. Their children: Matthew (Matt) and Kristen Sigafus of Philadelphia, PA [children: Abigail and Benjamin]; Anna (Sigafus) Kohler and Daniel Voight in Brooklyn Park, MN [children: Jazmine and Jamisen Kohler]

Her brother-in-law Paul Sigafus, his wife Rita (Northammer) of Loudon, TN. Their children: Laura (Sigafus) and Max Njai of Mankato [children: Gavin McAlister and Ida Njai] and Daniel (Dan) and Alyssa Sigafus of Big Lake, MN [child: Sophia Sigafus]

Her sister-in-law Christine (Sigafus) Watkins, her husband Vance of Wimauma, FL. Their children: Elizabeth (Watkins) and Terry Kober [children: Caiden and Clayton] and Melissa (Watkins) and Joseph (Joe) Culberson of Madison, AL [children: Kaylee, Karissa and Kadie]

Stepsisters and stepbrothers Kay (Dave) Rock, Michael Schumacher, Jacob (Carol) Schumacher, Joseph (Kris) Schumacher, Gustaf (Lisa) Schumacher, Tina (Bob) Gregor and William (Nena) Schumacher and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Sylvia Miller and her husbands’ parents Allen and Loretta (Schumacher) Sigafus and welcomed into heaven by the precious children she lost before birth. She was preceded in death by stepsister Laurie and Robert Jacobs and stepbrother James Schumacher.

Marguex was most recently a play and art therapist. She also was a librarian assistant, nanny, lifeguard, factory worker, receptionist at a psychological consulting firm, short term missionary, fast food cashier, intern with schools, daycare provider and preschool teacher, Christian bookstore sales assistant, election judge, secret shopper, census enumerator, editor, and a phone counselor for God TV.

She was generous to her nieces and nephews, remembering their birthdays with cards and notes.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in God's promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Her faith was her foundation, and we find comfort knowing she now rests in His perfect peace. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until we meet again.
