MARENA KAY WHEELER

Marena Kay Wheeler, age 61, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away October 4, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A Graveside will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri, south of 215th on Thorn Grove Road.

Marena was born November 30, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the daughter of Jessie A. Jackson and Mary (Slavin) Jackson. On June 2, 1990 Marena was united in marriage to Jeff Wheeler.

Marena was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Jackson; and her sister, Julie Jackson.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jeff K. Wheeler; her mother, Mary Hall; one son, Arthur Jackson; two daughters, Dana Fox (Matthew) and Christina Dukes (Randy); one brother, Jessie Jackson, three sisters, Diane Jackson, Sierra Adams (Daniel), and Heather Hall; five grandchildren, Shyanne, Alexandria, Joseph, Lincoln and Landon; and one great-granddaughter, Hope.
