Obituary

MARCIA CAROLYN SNYDER

Marcia Carolyn Snyder, age 89, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

A visitation celebrating Marcia's life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Marcia was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 7, 1936 to Marshall and Florence (Rigby) Prehn. She graduated high school and completed one year of college before joining her husband Ralph "Duke" in traveling the world with his duty in the United States Air Force. Their union was blessed with three children. This fulfilled Marcia's adventurous desire to travel the world as Ralph's service brought them to Casablanca, Tokyo, Bangkok, and many other parts of the world. In life, Marcia loved music and was an avid reader as she was extremely self-educated. While raising her children, Marcia had to learn to become very strong and self-dependent and often fulfilled both parental roles during Ralph's military career.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Florence Prehn; brother, Jerry Prehn; and son in law, John Wilson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph "Duke" Snyder; children, Bruce Snyder (Kimberley), Corrinne Snyder (Jerry Miller), and Elaine Wilson; sister, Gayle Henderson; four grandchildren, Amanda Ice (Kyle), Katie Miller, M. Darren Miller, and Emma Snyder; and two great grandchildren, Elliot and Everett Ice.
