LUKE MCFARLAND COMBS

Luke M. Combs, age 30, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Luke was born on February 15, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the son of John D. and Debra J (Luther) Combs. Luke graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 2007 and University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg in 2011, successfully completing a Bachelor Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He pursued a career in marketing with several Kansas City companies, building a resume of sales experience and customer service.  A real people person, Luke loved bringing friends together or connecting others behind common causes.  He was first to lend a helping hand to any and all who needed it. He led with his heart.  Luke enjoyed playing the drums and has always loved his music.

Luke is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marianne C. Combs and Commodore McFarland Combs Jr., and his maternal grandfather, Kent B. Luther.

He is survived by his loving parents, John and Debra Combs; maternal grandmother, Mary Luther; sister, Lauren M. Clerc (Christian); brother, Ryan M. Combs; sister, Brett M. Combs (Sean Quigley); brother, Gabriel M. Combs; nephew, Ealem M. Combs, three nieces, Geneva, Miriam, and Petra Clerc; and many other family members and friends.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Visitation until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington Ave., Grandview, Missouri 64030. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church followed in procession with a Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64138.

In lieu of flowers, PLEASE send donations to St. Joseph Residency, 330 W. Pembroke Street, Dallas, TX 75208. St. Joe's was where Luke began his journey back to us and found the peace and quiet to hear the Holy Spirit once again and embrace his love of God and family and life.
