LUCILLE MARIE POHLENZ

Lucille Marie Pohlenz, age 86, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Belton Regional Medical Center.

A private family burial will be held on a later date.

Lucille was born in Melrose, Iowa on December 25, 1933 to Harold Joseph Egbert and Anna Mae (Pavlik) Egbert. After schooling, she worked a few different jobs but for most of her life was a homemaker.  Lucille was blessed with four children, Thomas, Harold, Gloria, and Pamela. She was joined in marriage with her husband Robert F. Pohlenz on September 16, 1988 in Independence, Missouri. Through this marriage she gained two other children, Robert and Patricia. Lucille was a woman of Baptist faith and was known for having a green thumb. She loved her gardening, having flower beds all over. She also enjoyed sewing and was an excellent cook.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Anna Egbert; son, Harold Macy Stephens; two brothers, Harold Joseph Egbert Jr. and Leonard Paul Egbert; brother in law, Clarence Eugene Gourd; and sister Patricia Ann Scruggs.

She leaves behind her loving husband of over thirty-one years, Robert F. Pohlenz; two sons, Thomas Andrew Gourd and Robert W. Pohlenz (Susie); three daughters, Gloria Ann Knight (Don), Pam Sue Parisse, and Patricia Lynn Ford (Mark); two sisters, Clara Louise Gourd and Donna Jean Ludlow; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
