LOUIE W. ROBINETT
Louie W. Robinett, 74, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at The Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. He was born December 30, 1939, in Pettis County, to Faye Allen and Louie W. Robinett, Sr., the second of four children. He grew up in the Warsaw, MO area enjoying fishing, hunting and spending time with his neighborhood friends. He is survived by his siblings; his sister, Louise Swanson of Independence, MO, his two brothers, George Robinett (Lorna) of Bates City, MO and Larry Joe Robinett (Mildred) of Lincoln, MO.
He graduated from Warsaw High School in the Class of 1957 eventually settling in Kansas City, MO, where he met his wife, Etheldred Yount, and they wed in February, 1962. In 1963, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two years in Colorado Springs, CO. They were blessed with a son Vincin W. Robinett and a daughter, Yvonne Etheldred. They made their home in Blue Spring, MO. Beginning in 1963, he worked for Pepsi Cola General Bottlers driving a delivery truck. He retired after 34 years of service, in 1997, as a vending supervisor.
After the death of his first wife, he married Phyllis Chalmers in December, 1982 and they made their home in Raymore, MO.
His parents and his wife, Etheldred, preceded him in death as well as his son, Vincin. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 31 years, at their home; a daughter, Yvonne Clifford (Jimmy) of Oklahoma City, OK, a step-daughter, Kristal Malone (Joe) of Raymore, MO and step-son, Darren Chalmers (Kim) of Peculiar, MO; grandchildren, Erica Little, Steven Tiedman, Joshua Tiedman (Katie), Jessica Clifford, Bailey Cole, and Blake, Kamren and Jaxson Chalmers; plus eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, January 6, 2014 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 5-7 PM. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Spring, MO
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1300 Veterans Rd., Warrensburg, MO 64093. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at the home for the outstanding comfort, love and care you showed Louie for two plus years.
