LISA LYNETTE LONG
Lisa Lynette Long, age 52, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on January 19, 2018, with her loving husband by her side, at the Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care Center.
No public services have been scheduled.
Lisa was born on June 5, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Donald and Lavola (Mitchell) Long.
Lisa received her degree as a registered nurse, and for 21 years she worked at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Lisa went on to work for 5 years in the Kansas City area for Crossroads Hospice.
On June 21, 1992, Lisa was united in marriage with Kelly Lavenbarg. Together, Lisa and Kelly shared over 25 years together.
Lisa was a member of the Rock Brook Church in Belton, Missouri.
She loved her daily four-mile walks, visiting the Caribbean with her husband, strolling along the white sand beaches, and swimming.
As a vegetarian and an avid cook, Lisa developed many of her own new recipes and shared her talents and gifts with loved ones.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lavola Long.
She is survived by her husband, Kelly Lavenbarg; her two sisters, Linda Watson and her husband, Larry; and Laura Staton and her husband,William.
