LEWIS D. CALLAHAN
Lewis D. Callahan, age 88, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Private family inurnment will be held at Mount Moriah, Oct. 16th at 2:00pm.

Lewis Delmar Callahan was born in Slater, Missouri on May 16, 1933 to John W. Callahan and Della Mae (Carroll) Callahan. Soon after high school, Lewis honorably served his country in the United States Army as Engineer Foreman from 1953 to 1955 stationed in Korea then Guam. Lewis was joined in marriage with his wife Rosalie on August 23, 1958 in Tina, Missouri. Their union was blessed with two children, Todd and Carla. He worked as an Electric Switch Technician for Southwestern Bell. However, Lewis' happiness was in his time spent with family and in his garden. He raised his family on two acres of land south of Belton. Following his father's footsteps, Lewis perfected his green thumb and ability to grow many fruits and vegetables. This is where Lewis found his peace. He was a very reserved man but was strong in his stature and faith.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Della Callahan; and two brothers, William J. Callahan and Robert D. Callahan.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Rosalie Callahan and daughter, Carla M. Lowther (Gene); son Todd W. Callahan (Julie); and two grandchildren, Ashleigh, and Ethan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a Memorial Fund at St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Raymore or Traditions Hospice of Blue Springs, MO.
