LAWRENCE JOHN STREIFF

Lawrence John Streiff, age 83, of Belton, Missouri passed away with family around him on Friday April 19, 2024. A 'Gathering' will be Sunday, April 28, 2024 (10:30-3:00) at Crossroads United Methodist Church,515 E Markey Parkway, Belton, MO. All are invited to lunch at 12:00. There will be no funeral, just visiting and eating with Family and Friends.

Larry was born December 23, 1940, in Monterey Park, Los Angeles County, California to Rev Lawrence H. and Blanche Opal Murdock. He attended schools in Rayville, Sedalia, Cameron and Richmond MO. Larry had one brother, Daryl Walker Streiff born 1943 and died in 2003 in Pagosa Spring, Colorado. He is up on the mountain now.

Larry was married to Annalou Gregory on June 20, 1964 (That is 60 years). He worked at John Deere in Richmond and Lee's Summit before he studied and became a small engine airplane mechanic. His last years of working were at the Johnson Ex Airport in Kansas. He enjoyed his retirement.

He was blessed with two children. Christina Ann Johns (Duke Johns) November 9,1970 and Benjamin John Streiff, April 24, 1976 (Angie Streiff) who had four children. Tanner John Streiff April 11, 2000 - Drew Streiff April 2, 2002 - Maddy Streiff Aug 20, 2004 - Brody Streiff Feb 28, 2013. Chris and Duke live in Monegaw Springs, MO.  Ben and Angle made their home in Belton. Larry loved those Grandkids. Always enjoyed the birthday parties.

Over the years he flew airplanes, had several boats and campers. He Loved to fish, hunt turkeys & deer and be on float trips in canoes with friends. He belonged to the RV group which went traveling once a month. Most of all he liked to eat those big tenderloin sandwiches and drink coffee with friends.
