Laverna M. McHenry, 85, of Grandview, MO passed away August 4, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Raymore Cemetery. Laverna was born December 1, 1924 in Butler, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Minnie Lee Cowan Covington. She is preceded in death by her siblings Clark, Orville and Ruth Covington. Laverana is survived by her husband Jack of 65 wonderful years; children, Jerry and wife Sue, Allen and wife Edna, David and wife Viola, and Brent and wife Christine; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Jerial Covington; sisters, Florence Flynn, Lavonn Messick and Wilma Miller. She worked at Bendix for 33 years.
