Laura Yates, 89, of Raymore, MO passed away August 10, 2014. Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Cullen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice 9233 Ward Pkwy #201, Kansas City, MO 64114. Laura was born February 25, 1925 in Warren, Rhode Island, the daughter of Manuel and Guillermina DeMello Martin. Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John W. Yates II and granddaughter, Angela Cook. She is survived by her nine children, John W. Yates III (Terri), Laura L. Cook, Camille Wynne (John), James R. Yates (Sherry), Janet C. Mahmoudzadeh (Mohammad), Doris J. Jones (Richard), Deborah L. Albert (Dante), Stephen C. Yates (Pam) and Kimberly A. Smidl (John); 26 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. The family would like to give a very special Thank You to Grace Hospice for their love and support.
