LARRY W. YOUNG

Larry W. Young, age 68, of Cleveland, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Sunrise of Raymore Care Center.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Larry was born in Caldwell, Kansas on October 23, 1956, the son of Dwight A. Young and Vera E. Overman. After graduating from high school, Larry met Carol L. Sandifer and were married on September 6, 1980. Together they were blessed with two children, Andrea and Erik. In life, Larry worked as a contract painter for himself for over 35 years. He was very proud of his achievements as an Eagle Scout and playing in many bands. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, loved playing darts and pool with his family and friends. Larry also loved going camping and enjoying the great outdoors.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Vera E. Young; brother in-law, Al Lubelan and sister in-law, Charlene Young.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Carol L. Young; daughter, Andrea Szapocznik (Jesse); son, Erik Young; father, Dwight A. Young; three siblings, Vicki Lubelan, Alan Young (Jeannie), and Jim Young (Mona); four grandchildren, Brandon, Cadience, Gracie and Caleb.
