LARRY J. RHODES

Larry J. Rhodes, age 79, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, 20109 Business Highway 13 Higginsville, MO 64037 on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

Larry was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 4, 1943 to A.J. Rhodes and Marjorie (Dempsy) Rhodes. After graduating high school, Larry honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Karen M. (Storm) and their union was blessed with son, Jimmy. In life, Larry often enjoyed working on cars as he would build them for car shows, woodworking, general mechanical work, and gardening.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Marjorie Rhodes; and two sisters, Jan Sturnicker and Connie Sleed.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Karen Rhodes; son, Jimmy Rhodes; four grandchildren, Kiana Allen, Kody Rhodes, A.J. Rhodes, and Addie Rhodes; and five great grandchildren, Rylan, Cora, Axel, Sutton, and Delanie.
