LARRY R. PARKER
Larry R. Parker, age 88, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his loving family at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Foxwood Springs in the Bromwell Lounge, 1500 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.
Larry was born at home in Oswego, Kansas on February 2, 1936 to Richard Eugene and Frances Ruth (Reigner) Parker. Larry graduated high school and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He then furthered his education, receiving a Master's degree and created a career for himself as a Guidance Counselor. In life, Larry was an avid musician playing saxophone, clarinet, and guitar. He was a prankster with an incredible sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family. Larry was also an amateur Egyptologist. Larry was very proud of his Freeman Bowling Ball Field consisting of over 800 bowling balls, it really was an interesting piece of outdoor art.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Frances Parker; and brother Richard E. Parker.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Carol Ann Parker; three children, David Parker (Rebecca), Tanja Keay (Jim), and Libby Rinehart (Jim); sister, Nancy Richardson; and six grandchildren, Natalie Parker, Brad Parker, Danny Keay, David Keay, Andrea Simecka (Aiden), and John Rinehart.
